Sir William Hudson (1910-1978)

Sir William Hudson was a prominent Australian civil engineer. Born in Moree Plains, he played a crucial role in the construction of the Snowy Mountains Scheme, one of Australia's largest engineering projects. Hudson served as the Chief Engineer of the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Authority from 1949 to 1967. Mark Taylor, AO (b. 1964)

Mark Taylor is a former Australian cricketer and renowned cricket commentator. Born in Leeton, located within Moree Plains, Taylor was an exceptional opening batsman and highly respected captain of the Australian cricket team. He played for Australia from 1989 to 1999 and led the team from 1994 to 1999. Arthur Beetson (1945-2011)

Arthur Beetson was a legendary Australian rugby league footballer and coach. Though born in Roma, Queensland, Beetson spent a significant part of his childhood in Moree. He played for multiple rugby league clubs throughout his career, including the Balmain Tigers and Eastern Suburbs Roosters. Beetson became the first Indigenous Australian to captain the Australian national team in 1973. Renowned for his powerful and skillful play as a forward, he was inducted into the Australian Rugby League Hall of Fame in 2003.

Adrienne Pickering is an accomplished Australian actress. Born in Moree Plains, she has appeared in numerous film and television productions.
